Culture Transformation and Executive Coaching
Coaching, Executive-Personal and Team

As the top leader of your organization, chances are you are waking up to many new realities. Your old ways of doing business are gone, no matter how much you lament. Your leadership style doesn't get the results desired anymore, and you are unsure why, or on how to adapt. Your people are looking for more from you and their work, and if they can't find an environment that they feel taps into them, they are less engaged and thus less productive, committed and helpful. We stand at a tipping point in the economic history of our world. Business and all organizations today need a new paradigm, because "business as usual" is just not working anymore.

In order to affect change in your business and industry you must increase the awareness of the individuals and leaders first, and have them expand their consciousness of who they are, what makes people tick, and how best to create a work environment that has everyone aligned around a common goal and fully engaged in their work. As people expand their awareness they can see the weaknesses of the current paradigm while embracing the parameters of the new. To make the transformation of your culture successful will require everyone to re-think and learn-anew how to approach, analyze, conduct, and evaluate literally everything that goes on within the enterprise. Only then people can be more authentic at work, with leaders who they feel are authentic and working to help them be their best, all within an atmosphere that allows everyone to be most productive, creative and fulfilled.

In a more authentic atmosphere people can be themselves and operate with in ways that are supportive, instructive, and creative with each other. Would you like a culture that had people:

  • Self manage themselves because they were fully committed and engaged with the mission of the organization and to their own work quality and productivity?
  • Take responsibility for their lives and honor their commitments?
  • Don't compromise their values and can speak their truth with honesty and respect?
  • Listen to others deeply and with humility and resolve disagreements effectively?
  • Accept their (and others) emotions, and express them constructively?
  • Find new, creative ways to work together, solve problems, handle conflict?
  • Enhance value for all stakeholders in ways that are not only measureable but meaningful?

Kevin's Culture Transformation Coaching follows the premise that before we can affect change, each of us must awaken, become more conscious of who we are as an individual and as a leader. The most effective, lasting and meaningful way to shift the culture is to shift the thinking and awareness of the people involved. Kevin will work initially with the Owner(s), CEO, and then the executive team, followed by a roll-out to the entire organization. Typically the steps he follows are:

  • Personal assessment of the highest ranking official(s) begins with personal coaching: Values, Worldview, Skills Inventory, Passion, CPQ, Leadership Assessment, Emotional Intelligence, and others.
  • Company culture assessment, feedback and review meetings:
  • Personal assessment of the entire leadership team (board members optional): Values, Worldview, Skills Inventory, Passion, CPQ, Leadership Assessment, Emotional Intelligence, and others.
  • Initial Leadership Team Intention meeting - Obtaining 'Alignment & Engagement' focus.
  • Begin individual coaching - Kevin with CEO and leadership team.
  • Strategic Exploring - Answering the seminal organizational questions.
  • Culture Shift Mapped - Strategy and goal setting begins with on-going individual responsibility and accountability.
  • Group Coaching and Development begins: Values, Spiral, Skills Inventory, Passion, CPQ, EQi, others.
  • Leadership Team Coaching/Mentoring begins with employees: Internal coaching program with certifications created.
  • Employee Alignment & Engagement follow-up evaluations and on-going enhancements.
  • On-going meetings, assessments, feedback, updating goals as required.
Let's face it, the work environment is more complex today than ever before! The pressure put on top level executives today is often double or triple of that of their predecessors. Executives are expected to manage more with fewer resources, and are juggling acquisitions, downsizing or directing a change in company strategy or culture. Executives cannot rely solely on their upper-level staff advisors or team members to provide input, because they have their own crises to handle. The executive coach fills this role to help guide the process. They ask questions of a purely objective nature and keep the discussion focused. Coaching can result in a leader's enhanced self-awareness, a recognized need for continuous improvement, clearer goals, and ultimately making better decisions – which creates better results!

Basically, executive coaching is a one-on-one session between a coach and a top business executive (Owner, CEO, President,C-Level, VP). The aim is to enhance the on-the-job performance of the executive. An Executive Coach is a professional development expert in a specific discipline, such as leadership development, performance management or emotional intelligence, who provides guidance and insight. A coach is also a partner who challenges your thinking as a leader. A coach is a confidant and trusted advisor.

  • Enable you to reach your goals, or accomplish your dreams/ambitions.
  • Executive coaching is an investment in you, and it will benefit your company, your career, your life

Our Approach to Executive Coaching
Like any relationship, the executive coaching relationship must be built on trust and mutual respect. The more information you share, the more beneficial the experience will be to you. When we have identified your needs, you and your coach determine the frequency of the coaching sessions.

Our initial executive coaching sessions typically last from 2 to 4 hours, with follow-up sessions varying from 1 to 2 hours. You can set the pace once your plan and strategies crystallize. Follow-up work can be done bi-weekly or monthly, depending on the timeframe for desired results. Follow-up coaching can be done face-to-face or by telephone, depending on time and geographic constraints. Together, we determine the length of the ongoing coaching relationship. This key relationship can last a few months or several years.

The Executive Coaching program includes many topics covered in Kevin’s Life Coaching Program, and may also include the following:

  • Personal Self Assessments such as Myers-Briggs; Bar- On Emotional Intelligence Profile; Spiral Dynamics Values Profile.
  • 360 degree feedback from peers, and those above and below.
  • FIRO-B Communication/Confrontation/Collaboration profile, CPQ Evaluation
  • Strength-Finder 2.0, DISC

Ultimately executive coaching can help you become the authentic leader you desire. Kevin's process combining self-discovery and best management / leadership / business practices will help you increase your own awareness and ability to connect and lead your people. Employees come alive when they are in the presence of someone who sees them for who they are and allows them to bring all their natural talents and passions to work every day. Authentic leadership is the way to bring about real, lasting and meaningful results for all stakeholders in the organization.

“There is at least one point in the history of any company when you have to change dramatically to rise to the next level of performance. Miss that moment - and you start to decline. ”
